AUGUST 1, 2009 TO MARCH 31, 2010 VISIT & WIN E-CONTEST
1) NO PURCHASE OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A STUDENT REGISTERED WITH CONTACT NORTH | CONTACT NORD TO WIN. WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE A REGISTRANT WITH CONTACT NORTH | CONTACT NORD WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF RECEIVING A PRIZE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. (Contact North | Contact Nord is not responsible for technical delay issues that may cause an expired Contest to be printed on any advertising notification of the Contest.)
2) Entry into this Contest constitutes your acceptance of these Official Rules.
3) WHO MAY ENTER: This Contest is intended for participation by residents of Ontario, ages 18 and over. Entrants must reside in Ontario as defined by the boundaries located in Boundaries section below. Individuals employed by Contact North | Contact Nord and its affiliate companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, or judges (collectively "Contest Parties") at any time during the Contest Period, and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household, are not eligible.
5) HOW TO ENTER: Any eligible person entering the Contest, in a manner compliant with these Official Contest Rules, between August 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010 will be considered to be a Contest Entrant. There are two ways to enter.
· By completing an online survey through the Internet web page at http://www.contactnorth.ca/en/SurveyContest/Visit+and+Win+Contest
· Without completing the survey, mail a 3" x 5" card containing your name, age, full mailing address, e-mail address and phone number in an envelope no larger than 4 1/8" x 9 1/2" to: Contact North | Contact Nord Internet Entry, 410 Falconbridge Road, Sudbury, ON, P3A 4S4. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2010; limit one entry per outer mailing envelope; all Forms of entry must contain name, age, full mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and a brief explanation as to how you heard about the contest to be declared a valid entry.
For purposes of this Contest, "receipt":
· of an internet entry occurs when Contact North | Contact Nord’s servers record the entry information resulting from the entrant clicking the "Submit Entry" button. Upon submission registration is confirmed via e-mail, and;
· of a mailed in card occurs when the card is actually received at the indicated office of Contact North | Contact Nord.
All entries become the property of Contact North | Contact Nord and will not be returned.
6) Automated entries (including but not limited to entries submitted using any robot, script, macro, or other automated service) are not permitted and will be disqualified.
7) Participation is expressly limited to one survey Entry per person. Survey Entries have no value, are non-transferable, and cannot be sold, exchanged or traded. All duplicate survey Entries or suspected duplicate Entries are subject to cancellation without notification by Contact North | Contact Nord. e-Mail addresses may not be shared between survey Entries; therefore, each Entry must have a unique, valid e-mail address associated with it.
8) An e-mail address will be considered valid where the authorized account holder is a natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible by assigning e-mail addresses or domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
9) Contact North | Contact Nord is not responsible for any failure of the website during the Contest Period, including any telephone problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at the website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any material related to the Contest, all of which may affect a person's ability to participate in the Contest.
10) Contest Entrants agree to release and hold harmless Contest Parties and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, representatives, agents and employees, (collectively, the Releases) from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly, 1) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize awarded herein; or 2) participation in the Contest or any prize related activities, including but not limited to traveling to or from any prize related activity.
11) All winners must meet the eligibility requirements set forth in these rules in order to qualify for a prize. Contact North | Contact Nord reserves the right to suspend or disqualify any Contest Entrant from receiving prize award where Contact North/Contact Nord, in its sole discretion, determines that the Contest Entrant was ineligible, has violated any of these rules, made any misrepresentation in connection with their Entry, or used any unintended/unannounced means to accumulate multiple Entries in this Contest.
12) ODDS OF WINNING: The actual odds of winning will depend upon the actual number of entries received for this Contest.
13) RANDOM DRAWING: This online password protected application will create a new entry on a separate database designed for this contest. Upon the contest completion, an interface will be provided to randomly generate the winners of the contest. Prizes will be matched randomly to winners. No substitution or exchange is permitted. The winners will be selected on or about April 30, 2010 from among all Contest Entrants. The winners will be notified by e-mail. Winner’s names will be posted on the Contact North | Contact Nord website at www.contactnorth.ca/ after May 3, 2010. Selection of winners by way of the random selection data interface will be final.
14) PRIZES: The Grand Prizes will be four Lenovo 3000 G530 laptop computers awarded, valued at Canadian approximate $580.00 each. There will be over 100 other prizes valued at over $5,500 including, 8GB Apple iPod Nano, 1 GB USB Key,
Contact North | Contact Nord fleece jackets. Contact North | Contact Nord shall only be responsible for awarding the number of prizes stated. All federal, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. All federal, provincial and local income taxes, insurance, licensing, registration and title fees connected to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.
15) The prizes are non-transferable, with no cash redemption or equivalent.
16) Contact North | Contact Nord expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of prizes awarded. Contact North | Contact Nord makes no representation or warranties concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prizes awarded.
17) Even though a Contest Entrant is posted as a winner he or she may still be subsequently disqualified if it is discovered that he or she was ineligible or was not in compliance with the Contest Rules. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document, the winner will be required to promptly return to Contact North | Contact Nord his/her prize. If that occurs, a further name will be randomly selected.
18) CLAIMING PRIZE: All prizes and awards must be picked up at a Contact North | Contact Nord office or centre during regular business hours. Locations are available on the website at www.contactnorth.ca/. Please allow two business days for your prize to be processed before picking up your item.
19) Contact North | Contact Nord business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday except holidays. When picking up your prize, you must provide photo ID. All winners must pick up their prizes personally. Prizes must be picked-up within 30 days of notification – unless otherwise specified. Prizes not picked up with 30 days will be forfeited and awarded to another Random draw winner.
20) If in its sole discretion Contact North | Contact Nord deems that a prize winner has extreme circumstances and the prize is mailed out, Contact North | Contact Nord will not be responsible if the prize is lost, stolen, misdirected, or damaged. The prize will not be replaced with other or future prizes.
21) Winners are responsible for any and all travel expenses related with their travel to and from the Contact North | Contact Nord offices or other any location(s) associated with claiming the prize.
22) Contact North | Contact Nord will not provide any credit or refund for a prize which a winner claims but does not subsequently use.
23) Participants agree to verify that all information in their survey profile is up-to-date and accurate by providing a valid driver’s license or photo ID that substantially matches the information in their profile.
24) All properly claimed prizes will be awarded. As a condition of collecting any prize, the winner must, within twenty-one (21) days of receipt of written notification concerning the prize: 1) correctly answer without the assistance of anyone else a skill testing question similar to this one: (4x6) +12/2-8 =___ , 2) permit a photograph to be taken showing him or her to be the winner of the prize, and 3) complete, sign and return (a) an affidavit of eligibility (b) a liability release, (c) a publicity release, where permitted by law, and (d) any other applicable forms required by a taxing authority. If the Winner fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly or comply with the other conditions in a form acceptable to Contact North | Contact Nord the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
25) All claims for prizes are subject to verification by Contact North/Contact Nord management. All decisions made by Contact North/Contact Nord management will be final.
26) By accepting a prize, the winner consents to Contact North | Contact Nord’s use of their name, photograph and/or likeness, address, voice, and statements made by or attributed to them, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast and Internet), for all legitimate business purposes including advertising and promotional activities of Contact North | Contact Nord without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
27) By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Contact North | Contact Nord and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation. Prize Winners in accepting their prizes consent to their photograph being taken by Contact North | Contact Nord for such use, without further compensation. By entering this Contest, each Contest Entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, place of residence and photograph in any publicity carried out by Contact North | Contact Nord and its advertising agencies, without further compensation. Winner consents to their photograph being taken by Contact North | Contact Nord for such use, without further compensation.
28) By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to hold Contact North | Contact Nord harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of the prize. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claims to be caused by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize. Upon delivery of the prize to the winner, Contact North | Contact Nord will be deemed to have awarded the prize to the winner with winner assuming full responsibility for the prize. If any correspondence related to the winning or delivery of a prize or any prize itself is returned as undeliverable, the corresponding prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to an alternate winner. Any prizes unclaimed within 30 days of the winner being selected will be awarded to a different Contest Entrant in a random drawing to be held as necessary. In the event there is a dispute of a Contest Entrant's identity, the prize will be awarded to the established owner of the e-mail account associated with the entry.

31) The names of the prize winners can be found on the website on approximately May 3, 2010, once the winners are confirmed.
32) If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Contact North | Contact Nord, Contact North | Contact Nord reserves the right, at its sole discretion, and as permitted by law to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and select winners from among all eligible entries prior to the cancellation. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Contest, or whom Contact North | Contact Nord believes to be causing malfunction, error, disruption or damage will be disqualified.
33) Contact North | Contact Nord reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors. Under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards where the Contest Entrant has not been fully compliant with these Official Contest Rules
34) LAWS THE CANADA AND ONTARIO LAW GOVERN:
This contest, the rules governing it, and the participation in it shall be governed by the applicable laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario.
35) Quebec Residents: Any dispute, including but not limited to litigation, respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any dispute respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
